Electric cable and duct trenching South Northampton Council

Today we have started enabling works at South Northampton council waste and recycling building, currently they are having an MOT station built for the vehicles used by the council. Our job is to trench from the main building to the new MOT building lifting the block paving, digging out to a depth of 700mm for 600mm of cover. The duct going in the trench is 100mm diameter once in we have to cover with a layer of sand then electric warning marker tape to make sure if any future works are carried out the tape will warn any persons that a cable is below. Then MOT type 1 compacted with a trench compacter, sharp sand and 80mm block paving to go back with the existing surface. Here are some images of todays progress.
