Drop Kerb and Concreting works at Milton Keynes AcademyPosted on by JRS Contracting
Today we have started a job at the Milton Keynes academy. The job we are required to carry out is a drop kerb with a concrete apron to enable extra parking onto an area that isn’t being used at the moment, we’ve had to dig out soil to the correct measurement required for the apron then break out the existing kerbs which are standard road kerb dimensions to allow for the left hand drop Kerb and the right hand drop Kerb, we then had to set up some shuttering using 6×1 timber and pegs to the correct measurement of the concrete apron once we had set the shuttering up we then put a sub base of crushed concrete to the correct measurement to allow for a 150mm thick concrete slab, tomorrow the job will be completed and we will post photos of the finished job but for now heres what we’ve done so far.
